10歳まで日本で育った後、アメリカで青春時代を過ごし、大学時代に再び来日。日米ハーフのバイリンガル。学生時代はライブハウスでアルバイトするほどの音楽好きで、特に邦楽インディーズシーンに造詣が深い。

Mari

16歳でオーストラリア留学を経験し、わずか10ヶ月間の滞在ながら英語コミュニケーションに目覚め、その後日本で学生時代を過ごしながらも高度な英語力を身に付けた努力家。現在はIT系企業で働きつつ、英語力を活かして不定期に Listn.me に出演している。たまにセクシー担当。

Megumi

Megumi: Collarbones…

Junko: Start over! It’s Megumi!

Megumi: It’s Mari!

Mari: It’s Junko!

Junko: Today we’re going to talk about mens fashion!

Megumi: Mens fashion!

Mari: Yes.

Junko: And what we like and what we dislike about whatever they wear.

Megumi: Yes.

Junko: Do you guys have anything?

Megumi: I like guys who wear hoodies. And I think I said that once already?

Junko: Like pullover hoodies or zips?

Megumi: Uhh, pullovers for sure. Pullovers, because I like pullovers but um, hoodies and that are grey. It has to be like a color. The grey color.

Mari: Why?!

Megumi: I don’t like guys who wear like tailored, like jackets you call them? Blazers! I don’t like that. Like when guys wear like loafers you know? That are…in particular…I don’t like that kind of fashion at all…just like sneakers and jeans.

Junko: On a night out, what would your ideal guy be wearing?

Megumi: Uhhh black denim and a white shirt.

Mari: I really like v-neck. And also the collar shirt. And…it has to be in deep blue because I like deep blue.

Junko: Why?

Megumi: Because it’s really sexy.

Mari: So what about you?

Junko: What me? Um…I don’t really have a fashion style or whatever that I really like. But I can talk about all the things I don’t like.

Megumi: Yea!

Junko: Which I absolutely hate guys who wear UGGs.

Mari: Mmm no.

Megumi: That’s absurd

Junko: Man uggs. I’ve seen a few guys who wear kind of baggy pants, and then they tuck them into their boots. The fact that they’re wearing baggy pants

Mari: Oh no. No no no.

Junko: And then they stuff it into their boots.

Megumi: It’s like all out of balance and…I hate that too.

Junko: Yea and it…it irks me. Ever since I came to Japan, I have seen a lot of people who walk like, this part, so this is on the ground because they can’t walk on this part.

Megumi: It’s so tacky.

Junko: And so one guy that I saw, he had baggy pants and he had ugg boots on and stuffed them in and he also wasn’t walking on this shoes. And then he also had host hair and it was really disgusting.

Mari/Megumi: UUUGGGGHHHHH

Junko: I don’t like people who are very flashy.

Mari: Yea, no no

Junko: Like gem stones and…like…I don’t like anyone who looks like a host.

Mari: No.

Megumi: Noooo

Junko: Ew.

Megumi: Do you guys like guys who wear suits?

Junko: I do. If a guy can pull off a good suit.

I do not like guys who wear really skinny pants.

Megumi: Oh god no.

Junko: Like skinny jeans I’m ok with, but skin tight?

Megumi: Like tight tight.

Mari: Oooh! Uh uh.

Junko: It’s like super skinny.

Megumi: Like you can see the butt cheeks.

Mari: Really?

Megumi: I saw it. Like a dudes butt cheeks.

Mari: Aren’t they gay though?

Megumi: That’s what I thought.

Junko: No, they’re not.

Guys who dress feminine.

Mari: No. No.

Megumi: And yea, when a guy has such a fancy bag…you know? Like, he carries it like a woman as well too, like with one hand.

Mari: I don’t like guys wearing a lot of jewelries. Like bracelet, rings, necklace.

Megumi: Rings? Ugh yea.

Junko: Simple. Like one bracelet or one necklace.

Mari: Or just like two…

Megumi: There are a bunch of guys who just do white shirt and jeans, but there’s always like that Hollister mark or the Abercronbi and Fitch and I’m like…

Mari: Right!

Megumi: That is just the most 2000 that I have ever seen.

Junko: Hollister and Abercronbi, in my opinion its like, very high school and college. The mark is very high school.

Mari: Yea yea. But I think like Japanese people are like, proud of it.

Megumi: Yea! It’s like high end fashion, Abercronbi.

Junko: I like a guy who can rock a nice watch.

Megumi: Mmm that’s nice.

Junko: And glasses.

Mari/Megumi: Glasses?

Junko: I like glasses. I like, I like it when guys can look nerdy but not in a nerdy way?

Mari: I don’t like the guy wearing like um…how do you call it like?

Junko: Oh the pointed toed shoes?

Mari: Yea yea yea, pointed toed shoes.

Megumi: Oh god!

Mari: I hate that.

Junko: I want to stop on them.

Megumi: That’s a no go.

Mari: Just no, just no.

Megumi: I feel like all of our tastes are sort of more western.

Junko: What would an average girl like, what you guys would think.

Megumi: Jewelry and a very fashionable bag or fashionable hat or something is like uh…

Mari: Hat?

Megumi: For them.

Junko: No! I like guys who can rock like caps. Ok so, so, one thing, in Japan you have the hat, cap and a beanie. But they’re all hats.

Mari: What’s beanie? What’s beanie?

Junko: ニット帽

Mari: Oh, ok.

Junko: But I like a guy who can rock a baseball cap and a beanie.

Mari: But that’s so rare. Right?

Junko: Snapbacks?

Mari: No like, the guy who can look good in a cap.

Megumi: In caps.

Junko: No, I don’t think so.

Megumi: I feel like if Japanese guys wear caps, it’s like baseball cap style?

Mari: Yea!

Megumi: You know, the…?

Mari: It just reminds me of the high school baseball club you know?

Megumi: Yea, and that’s what most in general Japanese people would think. That’s why not much people wear it you know?

Junko: I guess I always just dated like skater type guys, so, you know, like the laid back, chill skater, west coast style?

Megumi: Yea! I was going to say, more of west coast.

Junko: That’s, that’s my type of fashion I like for guys. The west coast style.

Megumi: Yea, for sure.

Junko: But I do like the east coast preppy style too.

Megumi: I…

Junko: It depends on the guy.

Mari: Yes. Definitely.

Megumi: That’s true.

Junko: Don’t wear ugg styled boots.

Megumi: Please.

Mari: Don’t wear too much jewelry.

Megumi: Pretty please, don’t.

Mari: And please show collarbones!

Junko: I mean, if you’re muscular, I think you should show off your muscles.

Megumi: Guns out.

Junko: 男性が着る物の好き嫌いとかね。

Megumi: はい。

Junko: なんかある？

Megumi: 私はパーカー着る男性好き。前言ったと思うけど？

Junko: それはプルオーバー、それかチャック付きの？

Megumi: あぁ、プルオーバーね。プルオーバー、だって私もプルオーバー好きで、それとグレーね。その色じゃないとダメ。グレーの色。

Mari: 何で？！

Megumi: それと私仕立ての物はあまり、ジャケットとか？ブレーザー！それは嫌い。男性がローファー履くのとかね？それは…特に…そのファッション好きじゃない…スニーカーとジーンズが良い。

Junko: じゃ夜出かけるとしたら、理想の男性は何着てる？

Megumi: えぇぇブラックデニムと白いシャツ。

Mari: 私Vネックすごく好き。それとシャツ。それで…絶対濃い青じゃないとダメ、好きだから。

Junko: 何で？

Megumi: だってすごくセクシーじゃん。

Mari: じゃ、あなたは？

Junko: 私？うーん…好きなファッションスタイルとかないかもしれない。でも嫌いな物なら話せるよ。

Megumi: うん！

Junko: 男子がUGG履いてるの大嫌い。

Mari: うーん、ダメ。

Megumi: それバカバカしい。

Junko: メンズUGGs。何回か見たことあるんだけど、男子がダボダボのズボン穿いてそれをブーツにインするの。ダボダボのズボンがダメ。

Mari: あぁダメ。ダメダメダメ。

Junko: それをブーツにインするって。

Megumi: バランスが取れてないじゃん…私も嫌い。

Junko: うん、それね…イラつく。日本に来てからさ、良く見かけるのがね、この部分に歩く人、だからこの部分が地面についてるの、ここで歩けないから。

Megumi: それかなりダサい。

Junko: 一回ね、男性の人がダボダボのズボン穿いてて、UGGブーツにインしてて、その上ちゃんと靴の底で歩けてなくて。それとホストっぽい髪型でね、気持ち悪かった。

Mari/Megumi: UUUGGGGHHHHH

Junko: ギラギラしてる人無理。

Mari: うん、ダメダメ。

Junko: 準宝石とか…あぁ…ホストっぽい人無理。

Mari: ヤダ

Megumi: ヤダァァァ

Junko: キモ。

Megumi: スーツ着る男性は好き？

Junko: 好きだよ。スーツ着こなせる人ね。

すごくスキニーパンツ穿いてる男性嫌い。

Megumi: マジ無理。

Junko: スキニーパンツはいいけど、すごくスキニー？

Megumi: マジでタイト。

Mari: あぁぁぁ！ううううん。

Junko: もうスーパースキニー。

Megumi: お尻見えるくらい。

Mari: マジ？

Megumi: 見たもん。男性のお尻。

Mari: でも彼らゲイじゃないの？

Megumi: そう思ったよ。

Junko: 違うよ。

女の子っぽい男性。

Mari: ダメ。ダメ。

Megumi: うん、後高級バッグとか持ってる男性…とか？しかも女性バックみたいに片手で持つとか。

Mari: 男性がアクセサリーたくさんつけてるの嫌い。ブレスレット、指輪とネックレス。

Megumi: 指輪？うぅ、うん。

Junko: シンプル。ブレスレット１つとかネックレスだけ。

Mari: それか２つだけ…

Megumi: 多くの男子ってさ、ジーンズと白いシャツだけ着るけどさ、いつもホリスターのマークとかアバクロとかあってさ…

Mari: そう！

Megumi: もうそれって超2,000年じゃない？

Junko: ホリスターとアバクロってさ、個人的にかなり高校・大学じゃん。そのマークが高校っぽい。

Mari: うんうん。でも日本人って結構自慢するじゃん。

Megumi: うん！だってハイエンドファッションでしょ、アバクロ。

Junko: 良い時計つけてる男好き。

Megumi: うーん、いいね。

Junko: 後メガネ。

Mari/Megumi: メガネ？

Junko: メガネ好きなの。なんかさ、オタクっぽいけど、オタクじゃない？

Mari: 私男性の人が…なんて呼ぶの？

Junko: あ、とんがってる先の靴？

Mari: うんうんうん、先がとんがってる靴。

Megumi: マジ！

Mari: 大嫌い。

Junko: 踏みつけたい。

Megumi: それマジ無理。

Mari: もうダメ、ダメ。

Megumi: 私たちの好みって欧米よりだよね。

Junko: 一般の日本の女子とかは何好むの？

Megumi: アクセサリーとファッショナブルな鞄かハットとかじゃない…

Mari: ハット？

Megumi: 好きなのは。

Junko: ううん！キャップを被れる男好き。あ、ちょっと待って、日本じゃハット、キャップとビーニーじゃん。でも全部帽子だよ。

Mari: ビーニーって何？ビーニーって何？

Junko: ニット帽

Mari: あ、うん。

Junko: でも男がキャップとビーニー被れると好き。

Mari: でもそれって珍しいよ。ね？

Junko: スナップバック？

Mari: ううん、男性がキャップ被って似合うの。

Megumi: キャップね。

Junko: そう思わないよ。

Megumi: 日本人男性がキャップ被るのって野球スタイルじゃん？

Mari: そう！

Megumi: そういうさ…？

Mari: ただ高校の野球部思い出すよ？

Megumi: うん、多くの日本人がそう思うんじゃないのかな。たからあまり被らないとか？

Junko: 私が今まで付き合ってきた男性ってスケーター系だから、そう、リラックス系のスケーター、西海岸スタイル？

Megumi: そう！私も西海岸系って言おうとした。

Junko: 私が好む男性ファッションってそれかな。西海岸スタイル。

Junko: でも東海岸のプレッピー風も好き。

Megumi: 私…

Mari: うん。同感。

it has to be

これは「絶対」って意味です。「絶対これ」「絶対こうでなくちゃ」って時に使います。

動画内でMegumiもMariも服装での色のこだわりありましたよね？「It has to be grey」「It has to be deep blue」とか。「絶対グレー」「絶対濃い青じゃないとダメ」の意味です。

it irks me

ここの「irks」は「イライラ」です。「it irks me」は「腹立つ」「イラつく」時に使います。

nerdy

これは「オタク」です。日本のオタクとはちょっと違いますが。「geek」に似ている感覚ですが、微妙に違います。最近では悪口よりも自分の趣味や好みを表すときに使える（良い）単語です。

例：「I’m such a music nerd」「私って本当に音楽オタクなの」

look good in

これは「こなせる」です。でも洋服など、外見に関わるときに使います。

例：「You look good in suits」「あなたはスーツこなせるね」
