■■ 今日のフレーズ！■■
Geek
これは日本でも使われている「ギーク」です。「Geek」はオタクの意味でもあります。「I’m a geek when it comes to movies」「映画のことになるとギークなんだ」、「I’m a movie geek」「私は映画ギークなの」
Nerd
「Nerd」は「geek」に似たような単語です。オタクの意味でもありますが、今では自分が何かに夢中になっている事・熱中している事を表現する単語にもなっています。例：「I’m a ○○ nerd」「私は○○オタク」、「I’m a music nerd」「私は音楽オタク」などの用に使えます。「Geek」の使い方に似てますね。実際に２つの単語の違いはかなり微妙で、良く両方同じ用に使われています。

Kristina: So today we’re at Takeshita street here in Harajuku, Tokyo. And we’re gonna check out some Kawaii Harajuku fashion. Um…Me and Jun have been invited out to an event called…what is it called?
Junko: Moshi Moshi Japan festival 2014.
Kristina: Out in Setagaya…seta…?
Junko: Sendagaya
Kristina: Sendagaya. There we go, I can…not speak Japanese. Umm..but yea, we are gonna check out some of the fashion they have here and maybe get a taste of what we are gonna see on Sunday.
So uh, we are here in like a pawn section. Where they have little accessories like socks…
Junko: GASP Look! It’s perfect for you
Kristina: Awe you’re so cute!
It’s the geek in me. I’m like ugh Darth Vader! Star Wars!
Junko: Nerd.
Kristina: Shut up.

Junko: Bring the boy along~
So, after doing a lot of research here in Harajuku, I have decided that this my favorite store, so I’ll see you guys later.
Kristina: Is this actually Burlesque? No, it’s school clothing. I’m a little disappointed.
Apparently, Ronald McDonald’s satanic twin lives up there.
Junko: Do you want to go up there?
Kristina: I guess so
Junko: Oh hungry!
Kristina: That’s meeee
Junko: It says womb!
Kristina: We know what that means in Japanese right? Well, I forgot.
Junko: Ok, so we are now standing in front of La Foret. Um…don’t know the English pronunciation but this is like the epicenter for Harajuku fashion. Inside this building are millions and millions of shops. That’s a lie. But…probably a few hundred tiny shops in there where all the latest trends are…happening. They’re all happening. It’s the happening building.
Kristina: Happening building.
Junko: It’s a happening building.
Kristina: Like a happening bar?
Junko: Probably, but for fashion!
So yea! If you guys want uh…latest Harajuku fashion I would definitely try to check this place out and try not to get lost.

Kristina: So…we are at the end of our day walking around Harajuku checking out the…
Junko: Stores…
Kristina: Fashion…
Junko: Yes. And all the crepe shops. Which we did not have any…unfortunately. Have you ever had a crepe in Harajuku before?
Kristina: No. Have you?
Junko: Once.
Anyways, what did you learn after walking down Takeshita-dori and checking everything out.
Kristina: Well I see that there’s uh…variation between some shops for the most part. Like uh…why is she making this face at me? Uh, you know they have uh, a couple of girly farm-land-like clothing. You know, high collars, flower print, long, long skirts. And then they have school girl outfits and whatnot.
Junko: And like…galaxy print…really pop-art-type…outfits.
It was…pretty much a mix of everything. They had hip-hop style, that high end…
Kristina: fashion styles
Junko: yea
Kristina: Where they were nothing but all black and nothing but all white. Saw a couple of gothic lolita shops. Um…So I’m not really sure what Harajuku style is now because that…
Junko: or Kawaii fashion. Cause, Kawaii fashion came from Harajuku but I don’t…yea I don’t understand. So maybe we can figure this out and learn more during the event.
Kristina: On Sunday. So…I do have one question. Out of all the types of styles you’ve seen today, what would you wear? Which one would you choose?
Junko: Do I have to choose?
Kristina: I would wear a gothic lolita dress. I’m totally lying. But I would. I would basically wear anything as long as food was involved.
Junko: Yea, I wouldn’t.

原宿について色々調べた後、私はこのお店が１番好きって決めたから、みんなとはまた後でね。

Junko: はい、今はラフォーレの前に立っています。えっと…英語の発音が分かりませんが、ここが原宿ファッションの最先端です。この建物の中には何万個のお店があります。それは嘘。でも…何百個か小さいお店はあって、最新のトレンドとかがあります…最新です。全部最新です。これはハプニングビルディングです。
Kristina: ハプニングビルディング。
Junko: そう、ハプニングなビルディング。
Kristina: ハプニングバーみたいな？
Junko: そうじゃない、ただファッションの？

Kristina: うーん、いろんなバリエーションのお店があることが分かる。例えば…なんで彼女は変な顔してるの？えっと…何店か…ガーリーでファームランドっぽい洋服あったり。あれ、襟とか、花柄とか、長い長いスカートとか。それで制服みたいな洋服とか。
Junko: 後…ギャラクシー柄…ポップアートっぽい…洋服とか。
全体的に全部混ざってたよね。ヒップホップからハイエンドな…

Kristina: 他にも全身黒とか全身白とか。何店かゴスロリのお店も見たよね。えっと…だからなんか、原宿スタイルっていまいちわからない…
Junko: カワイイファッションも。だってカワイイファッションは原宿からきたんでしょ…うん、わからない。まぁ、イベントでもっと知って明かになったら良いね。
