Sarah and Michael: Season 1 Finale Interview
Michael:I never look right on camera. Yeah I guess I could do it that way.
Sarah: Um, my name is Sarah.
Michael: My name is Michael.
Sarah: I am…dating Michael for about 3 months now.
Michael: Um. I’m in a relationship with a girl named Sarah.
Sarah: Little bit about myself..I enjoy coffee..
Michael: Um..I’m half Japanese, half Columbian.
Sarah: My favorite book is “Satan’s Twin.” There are a lot of good quotes for every day life. Um..it’s very deep.
Michael: My favorite book is actually right here. I don’t know if you guys can actually see the title, but uh yeah …it teaches me a lot of useful things like…”Empty ones bowels.”
Sarah: I just kind of like sitting in the dark.
Michael: I’m an artist. I draw…I paint…
Sarah: Mmm….to be honest..I wasn’t too thrilled.
Michael: Well at first I was pretty nervous, you know?
Sarah: But luckily they gave me my privacy..um so that was nice..
Michael: I mean there was a couple reasons why I was nervous you know..a lot of my personal life would be caught on film and….uh then exposed. Not like I have much to hide!
Sarah: Uh…but the cameras did cause a lot more tension then I think necessary.
Michael: Especially starting a new relationship with Sarah…um…that’s a private thing. Having a relationship on its own…and then having it documented and then having people judge you…
Sarah: Is it ok..?
Michael: Yeah it was kind of tough. Especially after the episodes aired and everyone was like, “God, Michael. Why are you so stupid??” And I was like, “Well, FUCK YOU.”
Sarah: Definitely when I was insecure about Michael cheating on me.
Michael: Actually *seeing* how often Sarah disappears and reappears in a room. Kind of weirds me out…
Sarah: It still makes me feel insecure when I look back at those.
Michael: I mean..having her suddenly..losing track of her presence…that’s one thing…but then..to see it…makes me really uneasy. Yeah…I guess that would be the most difficult thing.
Sarah: And uh…I haven’t actually gotten in contact with Melinda yet.
Michael: HEEY BABY….she’s just a friend……
Sarah: We’re doing well. Um. We spend a lot of quality time together.
Michael: Ah we’re doing pretty good. Um…the last you saw..Sarah moved in..
Sarah: Which is very nice..
Michael: We hit a rough spot when she found out that I was Japanese. I mean we never talked about my ethnicity before.
Sarah: I..make sure I know where he is at all times.
Michael: I think she was too busy talking about how much she hated Melinda.
Sarah: Because I don’t want him getting close to Melinda.
Michael: After a couple of nights of weird chanting, things got better..and um I think she’s going grocery shopping.
Sarah: Maybe.
Michael: I guess..I mean..
Sarah: As long as Melinda’s not involved. I think I’ll be ok.
Michael: The cool thing was they paid for our food..every time we went out so..I wouldn’t mind that.

Sarah: 私は…３ヶ月くらいMichaelと付き合ってます。
Michael: えっと。今Sarahって女の子と交際中だよ。
Sarah: 私について…コーヒーが好きです…
Michael: えっと…日本とコロンビアのハーフで
Sarah: １番好きな本は「サタンの双子」です。日々に当てはまるようなすごく良い台詞がたくさんあって。うん…とても深いです。
Michael: １番好きな本は実はここにあるんだ。タイトル見えるかわからないけど、えっと、うん…便利なことたくさん教えてくれるの…「腸を空にする」とか…
Sarah: 闇の中座ってるのが好きかな
Michael: アーティストです。絵を描いたり…塗ったり…
Sarah: うーん…正直言って…最初はあまり嬉しくなかったです。
Michael: 最初は結構不安だったよね。
Sarah: でもプライバシーもちゃんと守ってくれて…それは良かったね…
Michael: 不安になる理由は何個かあるんだけど…私生活がカメラに抑えられて…公開されるとか。隠し事ないけど！
Sarah: えぇ…カメラのせいでいらない緊張感とかありましたね。
Michael: しかもSarahと付き合いだしたばっかなのに…えっと…それはプライベートなことだし。恋愛そのものがね…それがカメラに抑えられて、人に評価されたり…
Sarah: これで大丈夫…？
Michael: うん、結構辛かったね。しかもオンエアされたあと、みんなに「Michaelなんでそんなにバカなんだ？」って言われたり、それに対して「FUCK YOU」って言ったね。
Sarah: Michaelが浮気してたときとかかなり不安でした。
Michael: 実際Sarahがどれだけ部屋から消えて、また現れたりしてるのを見てると…変な気分になる…
Sarah: 今でもあのときの映像を見ると不安定になる
Michael: だって…いきなりさ…どこだろうって思うのは…一つの事だけど…でも…それを間に見えたりすると…緊張する。うん…それが１番難しいかな。
Sarah: それに…正直まだMelindaと連絡とってないし
Michael: おーぃ、ベイビー…彼女はただの友達だよ…
Sarah: 上手くいってますよ。えっと、一緒にいる時間が多いです。
Michael: あぁ、上手くいってるよ。えっと…最後見たのは…Sarahが引っ越してきたよね。
Sarah: それは嬉しい事です。
Michael: それで俺が日本人だって知られたとき少しぎくしゃくしたけど、その話とかしたことなかったから。
Sarah: いつも…どこにいるのか確認してます。
Michael: 以前はどれだけMelindaのことが嫌いか夢中すぎてたからだと思う。
Sarah: だって、Melindaに会ってもらいたくないですし。
Michael: 何日か変な呪文を歌った後、また仲直りして…今買い物してるのかな
Sarah: たぶん
Michael: いいんじゃない…だって…
Sarah: Melindaがいなければ、ですが。それでしたら私は大丈夫です。
Michael: 食費だしてくれたから…でかけたときとか…それよかった
