It’s about time

これは何かをずっと待っているときに使うフレーズです。感覚的には「やっと時間がきた」に近いです。以前説明した「finally」の「やっと！」の使い方に似ています。例えばレス トランに入るのにずっと並んで待っていて、やっと席に移動するときに使えます、「it’s about time we were seated!」

nobody’s perfect

直訳ですと「誰もが完璧じゃない」の意味です。

Sarah: So…who were you out with the other day?

Michael: Oh…I told you…just a friend of mine..

Sarah: Yea…but what’s her name?

Michael: Oh ok…it was Melinda.

Sarah: I knew it!

Michael: Knew what?? She wanted to talk about you!

Sarah: She’s using that as an excuse to get close to you!

Michael: …w..what are you doing?

Sarah: Texting Melinda.

Michael: Good! It’s about time you both talked! ^^

Sarah: yea …you’re right.

Michael: I’m glad you’re being so mature about this, Sarah. I mean, I know Melinda’s made some mistakes before, but nobody’s perfect.

Michael: God! I hate when she does that!

Where did Sarah disappear to? How does she do it? We’ll never answer that question…but tune in next time to see what happens!

Michael: マジでSarahがそれするとき嫌いだ！
