    Hi my name is Dina!
I’m from Toronto, Canada and I’m currently living in Tokyo.

The reason why I’m in Tokyo is actually because, well, I’ve always liked Japanese culture.

When I was a kid, I would always spend my time watching anime, and singing the opening and ending theme songs.

My first anime was probably “Sailor Moon,” but after I start watching “Card Captor,” “Inuyasha” and all that kind of stuffs.

And then as a girl there, I started reading manga.
So I went from anime to Japanese music to manga.

And then eventually I wanted to start learning the language. So I took a Japanese class, the summer class, for one month when I was about maybe 17 or 16, and I found it was actually really fun to learn language. I was learning hiragana and katakana.

And because I was listening to so much Japanese music and watching anime and Japanese dramas, I got used to the sound of the Japanese language. So it was a little bit easier for me.

So after taking the one month course, I obviously realized it was not enough to learn a language, and I still wanted to continue. So I went online to find a language exchange partner, because it’s free and it’s more comfortable than the classroom setting.

So, I went online and I found someone who could teach me Japanese. And then later on, he became my boyfriend and now he’s here with me in Tokyo. So, it all worked out in the end, I guess!

And, so I been here for four months now, and I have to say Tokyo and Toronto are really really different. The food is different, the transportation is different.

Even like the fashion is different, which I really like it, because fashion here is so much more different because there is more styles, more colors, and it’s all normal because everybody is wearing something different.

And in Toronto, people don’t wear… everybody wears the same thing. Nobody wears anything different. And so it’s kind of frustrating because you’re not as free in Toronto. So I think Toronto needs to learn a lesson from Tokyo and start wearing anything they want and being okay with it, and being normal with it.

And, yea, that’s my introduction for now!
    See you next time, bye!
