時代に口髭を生やすウェブマガジン”けてぃっく” で動画コラムの連載を開始することになりました！それを記念？して、今更ですが改めてJKが自己紹介します。
■■ 今日のフレーズ！■■
Howdy!
これはカウボーイなどが使う「こんにちは」です。現在でも南部の方では使われています。
resting bitch face
直訳ですと「休んでるビッチフェイス」です。これは無表情のときでもどこか怒っているような顔をしている人のことを表しています。例：「Kristen Stewart has a resting bitch face」「クリステン・スチュワートは休んでるビッチフェイスあるよね」
slut spiral
「ヤリマンスパイラル」は誰かが失恋した後に段々とスラットになっていく表現です。「スラット」はいろんな人と「遊ぶ」人のことです。例：「I’m going down my slut spiral after he broke up with me」「彼にふられてからスラットスパイラルに落ちゃった」
a good chunk of my life
「長い間」です。ここで使われている「chunk」は「量が多い」ことなどの表現です。なので「a good chunk」となると、「結構な量」の意味になります。そこで「of my life」を付けると「人生の結構な量」となります。

Kristina: Howdy! My name’s Kris!
Junko: And I’m Junko.
Kristina: You might have seen our faces before on our previous article done on the Moshi Moshi Japan 2014, foreigners edition! That’s us! Well, anyways, we come from Listn.me. We focus on English learning for Japanese students.
Junko: And we talk a lot about music and cultural trends that are happening in America! Or, in which case, Kristina reacts to Japanese bands.
Kristina: Yea.
Junko: Which is pretty fun.
Kristina: Basically, we’re trying to deviate from traditional English learning so the things that we talk about and uh, the words that we use, you won’t really find in your typical English book or English school.
Junko: Exactly, and when we use those words in our conversation, at the bottom of our scripts, we explain them for you to understand.
Kristina: So if you’re checking us out from the YouTube or from Qetic, check out our main site after you watch the video because that’s where we’ll have the Japanese translation as well as the explanations for certain phrases that might be difficult to understand like…resting bitch face.
Junko: We’ll explain it.

Junko: Stop it…
Kristina: Yea. So, before we continue on with the rest of our series, uh…
Junko: Let’s talk a little more about us!
Kristina: So Jun, who are you?
Junko: My name’s Junko, um, I was born and raised in Chiba and then I spent a good chunk of my life in America and then I came back to Japan. I also worked at a live house for a couple of years so I’m very keen on music in both Japan and…everywhere else…in the world. Your turn. Tag.
Kristina: My name’s Kristina. My hobbies include eating, occasionally taking photos, cycling, and uh, when I’m not in front of Listn.me’s camera, I am a wrestler for Stardom! Which is a women’s wrestling group here in Japan.
So, that alter ego, if you wanna check out my wrestling face, is Kris Wolf.
I didn’t come to Japan to wrestle, but I came to Japan to get over um, a heartache…a breakup…for whatever reason I decided traveling half way around the world would help me forget someone. And guess what! It did! Yes and no.

Junko: それでよくアメリカの音楽やカルチャートレンドなどについて話してます！それか、Kristinaが日本のバンドを聴いてリアクションしたりもします。
Kristina: うん
Junko: それも結構楽しいです。
Kristina: 基本的に、通常の英語の学び方とは違い、私たちが話すことや使う単語は普通の英語の教科書や英会話スクールには載ってないです。
Junko: その通り。それとそのような単語を会話で使うとき、スクリプトの最後でちゃんと分かりやすく解説しています。
Kristina: なので、YouTubeやQeticから見ている方は動画が終わった後、メインサイトをチェックしてください。そこには日本語の訳とちょっと分かりづらいフレーズ…例えば「休んでるビッチフェイス」みたいなプレーズも解説してます(笑)

Junko: 私の名前はJunkoです。えっと千葉で生まれ育って、アメリカにも結構の間住んでて、日本に戻ってきました。後ライブハウスで数年働いてたから日本の音楽と…他…世界中の音楽にはかなり敏感です。はい、あなたの番。タッグ。
Kristina: 私の名前はKristinaです。趣味は食べること、たまに写真撮ったり、サイクリング、それとListn.meのカメラの前にいないときはStardomでプロレスしてます！Stardomは日本にある女子プロレスの団体です。
なので、私のもう一面を見たければ、私のリングネームはクリス・ウルフです。
プロレスするために日本に来たわけではないです。日本に来た理由は、えっと、失恋…辛い別れ…それでなぜか世界の反対側に来たら忘れられると思ったからです。それでね、うまく行きました！かな？
まぁ、会えてうれしいです。
