前回と引き続き、Harunaとのハーフあるある話です！今回はハーフが「流行ってる」ことについて話したり、タイプについて話したり、様々なトピックに触れています！

Continuing on with a previous video, here is part 2 for Haruna’s hafu video! This time we touch on the topics of “hafu” being a “fad”, our types and more!

Haruna

幼年時代をトロントで過ごしたカナダ系ハーフ。本業は学生モデル。Listn.me の愛すべき妹的存在。毎朝オリジナルのスムージーを作ることが日課。健康優良児のため現在もぐんぐん身長が伸び続けており Kristina に踵落としが出来そうな位。目指せスーパーモデル。

Junko: What’s some positive, good things that come out of you being half in Japan?

Haruna: Well…for me, I look older so…you know…

Junko: You can get away with things

Kristina: Like what Haruna?

Junko: Like…

Haruna: shhhh…ok! Nothing!

Kristina: In the last video we talked about your type…

Haruna: Mhm

Kristina: Does ethnicity play a role? Do you care if they are Japanese? If they’re from a different country? Do you have a preference? Preferences are ok.

Haruna: Well…I actually like the…latino face kind of, I think those are cute

Kristina: They’re pretty mixed

Haruna: Yea

Kristina: I mean if you look at like the latino features um, I think I’m similar, I like Latino-ish faces, I like mixed-Asian faces, and they’re kind of like the same.

So, Haruna, when you’re with your Japanese friends, do the servers usually talk to them and not to you?

Haruna: That…not happen to me

Kristina: Really?

Haruna: Because like…because I think the half people is getting popular, so they just understand that I’m half so…

Junko: How do you feel about that? Half people being popular. Becoming, in a sense a “fad”?

Haruna: I don’t know…sometimes I feel good or…but sometimes I feel pretty bad? Japanese thoughts I have because I grew up in here, but sometimes I have, you know, like, even I didn’t grow up in Canada, but still I have those kind of blood and I feel really, I’m not fit in these, like schools. Especially if this happens a lot in schools like, you know there’s a lot of rules and…I don’t know why but I really don’t understand and I don’t get it a lot about it…

Kristina: So you have that side that wants to question why do I have to do this other side thats like, I have to follow this

Haruna: Yea…

Kristina: So, I understand that like tattoos are kind of a bad thing in Japan…why can’t you wear earrings in school? Like, is it bad?

Haruna: I don’t know

Junko: Equality. Because it’s a distraction to the learning environment.

Kristina: Shiny things are…

You’re a teenager, I remember like, being a teenager is when you try to figure yourself out

Haruna: Yea…

Kristina: That’s kind of hard if people are telling you to be the same

Haruna: Yea, of course

Junko: So what do you do?

Haruna: Ummm…I don’t know…like…to do, like…

Kristina: Like how does it make you feel? Like, I’m Haruna! I want to be nani nani nani but everyone tells me I have to be, nani nani nani

Haruna: Aaaarrrggg…those things, ok I got it. Like, be a good girl at school and like, just…pump out…like you know…express myself out of the school.

Junko: And I think because you can’t do anything with your hair or piercings or anything, that’s why a lot of high school girls enjoy fashion. It’s the only other way to express yourself.

Kristina: That makes sense

Haruna: Yea, that’s true

Junko: I hear another helicopter coming

Kristina: The helicopters are coming, we should go get food

Junko: Bye!

Kristina: Bye!

Haruna: Byeeeee

Junko: ハーフとし日本にいて、なんか得することとかある？

Haruna: うーん、私は…年上に見えるから…ねぇ…

Junko: いろいろ逃れられるよね

Kristina: 例えば？

Junko: 例えば…

Haruna: シーッ！何でもない！

Kristina: 前回の動画でタイプの話したじゃん…

Haruna: うん

Kristina: それには人種って関係する？日本人じゃないとダメとかある？他の国の人とかは？好みとかある？好みはいいと思う

Haruna: えっと…実はね…ラテン系の顔は可愛いと思う

Kristina: 結構混ざってるよね

Haruna: うん

Kristina: ラテン系の顔立ちとか見ると…私も同じかも、私もラテン系の顔とかアジアンミックス系の顔が好き、似てるよね。

それでHaruna、日本人の友達といるとき、店員さんとかHarunaに話しかけないで、友達だけに話しかけたりする？

Haruna: それは…ない。

Kristina: 本当？

Haruna: たぶん…たぶんね、ハーフの人って人気になってきてるから、私がハーフだって理解してるから…

Junko: それについてどう思う？ハーフの人が人気になるって。ある意味「流行」になってる。

Haruna: 分からない…たまにいい気分になるけど…たまにすごく嫌な気分になる。日本人の考え方もあるし、ここで育ったから、でもたまに、ねぇ、カナダで育った訳じゃないけど…カナダの血が流れてるから、たまにここの学校とかには馴染めない気がする。特に学校とかでルールとか沢山あるじゃん…わからないんだけど、たまに全く理解できないときあるんだよね…

Kristina: じゃ、Harunaの中にはいろいろ問いつめたい反面、ちゃんとルールに従わないとって思う反面もあるのね

Haruna: うん…

Kristina: タトゥーとかって日本だとあまり良くないことだって知ってるけど…何で学校でピアスとかしちゃいけないの？悪いことなの？

Haruna: わからない。

Junko: 平等にしたいから。勉強する環境の邪魔になるから。

Kristina: 光るものって…

Harunaはまだ十代じゃん、十代ってさ、私が覚えてる限り、自分を探す時期じゃん…

Haruna: うん…

Kristina: でも人がみんなと一緒になれって言ってると難しくない

Haruna: うん、そうね

Junko: じゃ、どうしてる？

Haruna: うーん…わからない…え…どうする…
